Sedation Dentistry

Are you afraid to visit the Dentist?

Our office offers sedation dentistry for patients who experience dental anxiety or phobias, helping you feel calm, comfortable, and at ease throughout your visit.

Sedation dentistry is a safe and effective approach that has enabled thousands of patients to receive the care they need without fear or discomfort.

We provide a range of sedation options, each tailored to your individual needs. The type and level of sedation recommended will depend on the procedure being performed as well as your level of anxiety. Our goal is to ensure a relaxed, stress-free experience while delivering the highest standard of dental care.

With sedation dentistry, you can confidently move forward with your treatment, knowing your comfort and well-being are always our top priorities.

Types of Sedation

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation begins approximately two hours prior to your dental appointment. A prescribed sedative pill helps you feel deeply relaxed and at ease throughout your visit. The effects typically last between 2 to 6 hours. For your safety, you will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment. Because oral sedation is not a pain reliever, a local anesthetic will also be used to ensure your comfort during treatment.

Intravenous (IV) Sedation

IV sedation involves administering a tranquilizing medication directly into the bloodstream. This method produces a deeper level of relaxation, allowing you to remain comfortable and free from anxiety during your procedure. Most patients experience little to no memory of the treatment. As with oral sedation, a local anesthetic is used to manage any discomfort.

Benefits of Sedation Dentistry

When you wake from your treatment, you’ll feel relaxed and refreshed, often with little recollection of the procedure. In just one visit, you can take a significant step toward a healthier smile—without the stress—so you can enjoy renewed confidence and long-term dental wellness.
